Thank you for visiting my blog. I wanted to create it so that all the people close to me can check in to see what happening in my treatment, and how I'm doing. This doesn't mean that I don't want to hear from you. Please feel free to call, email, text any time. But I apologize if I don't always get back to you. This new cancer journey of mine is a full time job, and I'm doing the best that I can. Please know that your thoughts and prayers mean so much to me...keep them coming! Thank you for all your help and support takes a community, and you have all given us that.
With love and gratitude,

Well, I managed to do most of my packing today. I'm looking forward to a little getaway in Boston. I'm still a little tired and cranky, but overall, round 2 of chemo was a hundred times better than the first. Here's a picture of my new wig, and my friend Alissa. Although I've buzzed my hair off, I still have tons of stubble, and my head is itchy and driving me crazy. I wish I was bald already!!! But the wig is beautiful.
Thank you for all the posts. I love reading them.

  1. Lynne: you look great! I'm thinking of you everyday. We have been away for almost 3 weeks with ski racing, provincial championships. We are in Calabogie right now. Kyra says hi to Zoe!
We are all sending positive vibes your way! Enjoy Boston....Luv U, Kelly

  2. Hey Lynne,
I'm glad to hear that the 2nd round went better and that you have had a lot of support in your community. I wish I was closer.

I was speaking with Tara and she's planning on being in Mtl. in July so as soon as I have the dates I'll let you know and maybe we can plan some time together?

Keep up the great fight. You are an inspiration!

    Love ya!

I know I dont know you that well but i have to tell you that i check your blog every day . You are an inspiration to all. I don't know where you find the strength and courage to face this battle with such honesty and always have such a beautiful smile. You look amazing and your wig is sooo beautiful. I would have never known it wasn't your hair.My thoughts and prayers go out to you and your family as you fight this disease.Chemo is such a horrible thing to go through .I watched my dad suffer, getting a port makes such a difficult thing a tiny bit better and I know he was happy to have it . Please call if you ever need anything at all . I know you have a huge suppprt of close friends, family and Crestwood family but please know my thoughts are with you everyday.Tracy Barber (Emma Buston's mom )

  4. Hey Lynne,

Boy, I wish you had told me that you were going to Boston and taking the sun with you! It rained from the minute we landed (3/11) to the minute we left (3/14). It even tried to snow! Hmmm ... why did I move to Texas?

If you had not said you were wearing a wig, I would never have known. Same Lynne, same smile as always.

Sorry I missed you guys this time around, but I will plan better next time!

  5. Thumbs up on the wig babes.... kinda makes me want to get one... seems handy! I invited you into my yoga practice in Waikiki! The surfer dude/martial arts guru/life coach yoga instructor was great and he suggested setting intentions and inviting someone into your pratice... hope you felt it! (I felt the muscle soreness... ). Back in Oz now to 31 degrees... ahhh, my body loves warmth. I wish I had met you in Boston though. In hindsight I could have added a week of leisure to my trip.
I too check your blog every day and feel so proud of you for being so strong and positive.
    Keep it up Carps.
